Seals For The World
The Sun Never Sets On A Barnwell Seal
In August the M Barnwell Services Export department supplied a range of specialist O Rings to their 69th and most remote location – Ascension Island.
Ascension Island is an isolated volcanic island, south of the Equator in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is about 1,000 miles from the coast of Africa and 1,400 miles from the coast of Brazil. It is governed as part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. Recently the UK government decided to create a UK-sized marine reserve around the island.
The customer at Ascension Island required O Rings for their scuba diving equipment. Having the correct O Ring for your dive gear is essential as they are used in cylinders, valves, and regulator hoses. Over time the rubber O Rings may dry out, perish, or develop cracks which means they will have to be replaced.
For over 50 years M Barnwell Services have supplied Scuba Diving O Rings and we are on hand to provide technical advice should you need it. For more information contact a member of the team or visit our Export Services page.
