M Barnwell Services supply a full range of Hodgson Silfix® Silicon Sealants, designed for the professional user. Silfix® HM is a premium quality high modulus, sanitary, acetoxy cure silicone sealant which offers outstanding strength, performance and durability.

Silfix® LMN

Key Features:

  • Excellent unprimed adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces including glass and glazed surfaces, coated metals and some plastics
  • Fast curing acetoxy system
  • Contains a powerful fungicide which makes it ideal for use around baths, basins, ceramic tiles etc
  • Good performance across a wide range of temperatures

Uses Of Silfix® HM:

  • For use on the internal and external face of facades
  • For glazing applications
  • For sanitary applications
  • For sealing joints between Plastisol and alkyd coated steel
  • Trims and flashing in roofing and cladding
  • PVC-U, aluminium, steel, timber frame/door surrounds
  • Wall tiling
  • For use in cold climates
  • Many forms of expansion/construction joints in building superstructures
  • Glass to glass joints such as shop fronts where a high structural strength is required
  • General industrial use e.g. heating & ventilation, sectional buildings, caravans etc

Note: Do not use in contact with edge sealants of double-glazed units or where it will be in contact with lead, brass and copper. This product contains a fungicide; do not use for the construction of aquaria

Silfix® HM Silicon Sealant can be used in a variety of industries including; Automotive, Agriculture, and Motorsport.

Sealant Properties:

Application temperature range: +5°C to +40°C
Curing rate: Cures at a rate of 3mm in 24 hours at 23°C @ 55% RH. Lower temperatures and drier conditions will result in a slower rate of cure
Shelf life: 24 months
Skinning time: Skin forms after approximately 15 minutes at 23°C @ 55% RH
Working time: Approximately 10 minutes depending on conditions
