M Barnwell Services supplies cost-effective quality PTFE Shaft Seals that are a reliable sealing solution for high pressure, high speed rotating shafts. Able to withstand extreme temperatures (-130°F (-90°C) up to +500°F (260°C)) they can be used in multiple applications and are an ideal alternative to Mechanical Seals and Braided / Gland Packings.

Under working conditions, the PTFE Shaft Seals outperform Radial Shaft Seals as their lips are made from modified PTFE rather than the traditional elastomer materials. This helps keep the abrasive and aggressive media sealed.

Available in standard, non-standard and special grades the range of PTFE Shaft Seals will provide an efficient sealing solution for numerous applications.

PTFE Shaft Seal Standard

Standard shaft seal consisting of stainless steel (1.4571) case, a seal lip and a static sealing element made of FKM.

PTFE Shaft Seal Non-Standard

Non-Standard are shaft seals in standard sizes with different configurations of both seal lips and lip seal materials. If your application demands a shaft seal different from the Standard version we will manufacture a shaft seal appropriate to your needs. Non-Standard offers an economical way of producing special configurations, as it is based on the standard version. Both the lip material and its configuration can be varied. Even the case can be adjusted within technical limitation.

PTFE Shaft Seal Special

Due to the complex application of high-performance seals, Standard and Non-Standard may not always provide the best solution for application-specific needs. That is why we offer other sealing options with single and multiple lip assemblies. As far as practicable these seals are standardized to supply our customers with cost-efficient special solutions.
