Natural Rubber (NR) Seals for Food & Beverage applications

M Barnwell Services supply range of Natural Rubber (NR) Seals that have been manufactured to provide excellent abrasion and tear resistance.

Natural Rubber (NR) Seals UK

Natural Rubber (NR) Seals are vulcanized material from the juice of the Hevea tree (latex).

They are mainly used in Food & Beverage industry, but also broadly used in Pharmaceutical, Medical, and Automotive industries. It is the most popular material for non-hydraulic sealing installations. Due to its ability to absorb vibration, it is mainly used for dampers.

Depending on the application, Natural Rubber (NR) can be used in temperatures between -50° and +80°C (approx).

It has a high resilience, high abrasion and tear resistance, and high tensile strength. Good friction surface and excellent adhesion to metals. Natural Rubber features a good resistance to alcohols and organic acids with moderate resistance to aldehydes.

Poor compression set and lack of resistance to many fluids are the flaws of Natural Rubber.
