DIN11864 Type 2 Seals are FDA, 3A 18-03 Sanitary Standards and USP Class VI compliant. Additionally, they are ADI-free and suitable for CIP and SIP Sterilization Processes.

Material grades include Ethylene Propylene (EPDM), Nitrile (NBR), Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR), Viton™ (FKM/FPM), Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM), and Silicone (VMQ).

DIN11864-2 is a flange seal that is used within hygienic processing applications and is intended for use with highly abrasive and aggressive media. The range of aseptic fittings has been created to meet the demanding requirements of the Food, Dairy, Biotechnology, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical industries.

DIN11864 Type 2 – Flange connection: connection by nuts and bolts.

The aseptic flange connection has been created with aseptic applications firmly in mind.  Therefore, it is available in virtually all sizes, standards and configurations.

The O Ring is placed into the seal groove of the male connector before assembly. The cone-shaped connector is then pressed onto the threaded coupling. Both of them are then embedded by slipping the nut through the cone-shaped head of the coupling and onto the thread of the other coupling. As a result, the flanged seal allows simple installation and prevents any movement by stress or vacuum.

Temperature range between -40°C and +120°C or between -60°C and +205°C (for short periods only).
