"Longer life, less frequent seal change outs"

the challenge

Producer of perfume and fragrance ingredients and flavours for dairy, beverages, desserts, and savouries required a new sealing solution as there was an increase in downtime due to failing seals. Customers applications included process lines: water, oils, and fats, CIP applications: up to 200°C, 18 bar pressure, sodium hydroxide, and Flanges DN15 to DN100.

the solution

M Barnwell Services completed a full audit of the customers fluid sealing requirements and introduced GYLON Bio-Pro tri-clamp seals, GYLON Bio-Eco screw coupling seals, and GYLON 3504 gaskets.

the result

Replacement of elastomeric seals which lead to longer life, less frequent seal changeouts and no re-torqueing issues. Freedom from taint and odour seen with elastomeric seals and Installation on process lines and Clean In Place (CIP). FDA and EC1935.
