BARNWELL INVESTS IN NEW FORD TRANSIT DELIVERY FLEET

M. Barnwell Services Ltd, the UK’s largest stockist and distributor of fluid sealing products, is investing in a new fleet of Ford Transit vans to provide more support to its burgeoning business.

The first of two new fuel-efficient vans will soon hit the streets from M Barnwell Services busy Birmingham and Glasgow branches, delivering next-day to destinations all over the UK.

M Barnwell Services Director, Steve Barnwell, said: “We looked at all the usual factors, acquisition price, depreciation, servicing and maintenance costs, running costs including fuel economy, and the Ford Transit Custom came out top.”

M Barnwell Services growing business employs more than 100 people operating from Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Dartford and Bristol. The company provides nationwide next-day services as well as international delivery to over 5000 customers.

During their four years’ service with M Barnwell Services, the Ford Transit vans will cover some 120,000 miles. They will form part of the company’s fleet, which delivers around 3,000 fluid sealing products per day.
